The competence of a Seafarer is a critical factor in the safe and efficient operations of a ship. Crystal Shipping, Inc. and Ne Plus Ultra Training Center (NPUTC) recognize that the shipping industry is under increasing pressure to promote security and safety and to demonstrate the quality of their management. It is no longer enough to have the statutory certificates for the ships and their personnel. The industry must now comply with the mandatory international requirements for the safety management system (SMS) and show that they have effective crew management in accordance with Maritime Labor Commission MLC 2006.
